Aromatherapy Secrets to Extend Your Yoga Practice Off The Mat: After completing a yoga asana, meditation, or pranayama practice, we all know how easy it is to lose that sense of calm and groundedness that we gained through our practice. Life happens!

Unleashing the scent-sational and aromatherapy unplugged

I don’t often write about products, but when Organic Aromas gifted me this gorgeous, personalized essential oil diffuser, I knew I had to share! As a yoga teacher and wellness practitioner, I am always on the lookout for products that can enhance the wellness experience for myself and for my clients. The Raindrop Nebulizing Essential Oil Diffuser has become an essential part of daily routine and I believe it is an excellent addition for any wellness practitioner.

One of the reasons I am drawn to essential oils is their ability to create a sense of peace, calmness, and openness. After completing a yoga asana, meditation, or pranayama practice, we all know how easy it is to lose that sense of calm and groundedness that we gained through our practice. Life happens! Stress happens! I have found that a way to help maintain these positive feelings of peace, calm, and balance and to carry the benefits of the practice throughout the day, essential oils helps! After my morning practice, I start boiling water for tea and immediately activate my essential oil diffuser. It’s a simple—truly simple!— way to help me maintain a state of mind that aligns with the goals of my practice.

Aromatherapy alchemy: harnessing the power of aromatherapy for your yoga practice

One of the standout features of this diffuser is its waterless technology, which nebulizes pure essential oils using Bernoulli’s Principle (you’re welcome to read the NASA link I embedded here if you’re curious). This means that the therapeutic properties of the oils are preserved, ensuring that I am receiving the full benefits of the oils I choose to diffuse. Water can impact the oil? Who knew!

In terms of coverage, this diffuser impresses me. Under ideal conditions, it can fill a room very quickly with fragrance, covering an area of up to 80 square meters (800+ square feet). This makes it suitable for various settings such as spas, offices, bathrooms, kitchens, classrooms, or meeting areas. Furthermore, the LED mood lighting adds an extra touch of serenity to the environment, with a touch sensor light switch that allows me to control the rotating rainbow LED mood lighting with ease.

When it comes to design and specifications, the Raindrop Nebulizing Essential Oil Diffuser stands out as a work of artistic craftsmanship. Handmade from plantation hardwood and borosilicate glass, it exudes a sense of elegance and sophistication—and it’s customizable as seen here with the Wild Yoga Tribe logo, which I LOVE!

So here I am recommending the Raindrop Nebulizing Essential Oil Diffuser to fellow yoga teachers and wellness practitioners. Its versatility, effectiveness, and therapeutic benefits make it a valuable tool in enhancing the wellness experience for both myself and my clients. Whether you want to create a calming atmosphere for meditation, uplift the mood after a yoga class, or promote relaxation in your day-to-day life, this diffuser is my go-to.

A little disclaimer about aromatherapy and yoga from me to you

It is not recommended to use scented candles, incense, perfumes, or oils during your yoga asana or pranayama practice or classes, as these are breath-based practices and any odor or smell can be detrimental to your lungs and your body during such practices. For example, candles and incense release hydrocarbons into the air and contribute to indoor air pollution. While you may like the idea of having a pleasant fragrance in the air while you practice— your body and your health comes first.

Of course, there is still room for essential oils, incense, and candles in your post-practice routine as they can help you hold onto that sense of peace, serenity, and openness you’ve cultivated on the mat.

Yoga doesn’t end when you step off your mat. But we all know how daily stressors and distractions can dampen our yoga high (let me know if the term ‘yoga high’ bothers you because I’m still working through how I feel about that phrase!). That’s where essential oils come to the rescue! They’re like little bottles of magic to help you maintain that blissful state of mind.

Personally, I love using peppermint oil to zap away headaches, lavender oil to chase away stress and sleepless nights, and delightful blends like Organic Aromas’ signature blend that radiates tranquility.

Keep the good times rolling!
